50kw +112kWh Outdoor cabinet system
Release time: 2026-03-17

Located in Lomé, Togo, this feed mill faced frequent grid instability and power outages that disrupted night shift operations and compromised workplace safety. The facility required a reliable backup power solution to keep production lines running during blackouts and provide emergency lighting for overnight staff.
After evaluating diesel generators and other alternatives, the customer chose an integrated solar + storage solution for cleaner, quieter, and more cost-effective backup power.
Solvic Power supplied and commissioned a 50kW + 112kWh outdoor battery storage system paired with a 52kW solar PV array. The system operates primarily in backup power mode, with the following priorities:
Daytime
Solar PV powers the feed mill operations and charges the battery bank
Nighttime
Battery discharges to support night shift production and lighting
Grid outage
Instant seamless switch (<10ms) to battery power, keeping critical loads running
Emergency
Battery reserves maintained for lighting and safety systems at all times
